The C Terminal at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport evokes the true Alaskan experience. It remains one of the largest and most complex public projects completed in Alaska.
The project was designed around a theme of dramatic juxtaposition – state-of-the-art technology set against a natural landscape. Throughout the terminal, the trappings of modern airport technology are combined with abstracted natural features such as rock outcroppings, glacial walls, meandering pathways and ethereal lighting evocative of the Alaska landscape.
The terminal pays homage to Alaska’s long love affair with aviation and welcomes passengers, whether they’re embarking on the adventure of a lifetime or simply coming home.
